“Argue for your limitations, and surely they’re yours.” –Richard Bach
You can BE, DO and HAVE what you want in life. There is a part of you that knows no limitations.
But there is another part of you that buys into the limitations that you have accepted for yourself. Let go of the limits you have accepted for yourself. Don't think that life is happening to you. You are in the driver's seat, and your thoughts are the key to unlocking the door.
This part of you that buys into limitations is the conditioned mind. The conditioned mind is when you repeatedly think a certain way, a mental loop of sorts. It is a storehouse where your beliefs and interpretations of every experience lie. This is where the memories of you feeling trapped by your circumstances and of bad situations have settled. Which, has now become your reality and you let recordings of it replay and run your life.
The conditioned mind is a powerful force and it can be the most challenging part of you to turn against. It is so ingrained in your thoughts and you don't even realize it. Once you are aware, everything seems different. You feel like you are waking up from a dream or observing life for the first time.
Instead of being controlled by this limiting state, you need change the way think. You need to decide what you want and think differently. The best way is by writing a list of everything blocking your progress, a list of all your limiting beliefs about yourself.
The more you start to think about what is holding your back, the easier it will be for you to break free. When faced with a challenge or obstacle, ask yourself what thoughts are fueling this state and how do they serve me? You may find that many of these beliefs no longer make sense to who you want to become in life.
It's time to break this pattern and take control of your thoughts.
You have to know exactly the end result you want to have if you are to create the blueprint that will lead to your desired outcome.
Do you know what you want? Have you ever stopped to consider your goal? What it might change in the way that you handle certain situations? Even think about your limitations and what they mean for this goal? The truth is, if we don't have a clear idea of where we're going, then how can we expect to get there? If you know what you want, then it's easier to get it.
If you don't know what you want, then how can anyone else give it to you? You have two choices: 1) figure out where your life is going and start moving in that direction or 2) keep doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different outcome. Choose wisely.
It can be hard to say exactly what you want. We may think it unrealistic, unreasonable or unattainable because of our upbringing and current circumstances that we create for ourselves - but those are all just limitations in your mind.
If you are allowing your mind to limit what you can do, then it's time for a change! You are too intelligent and capable to stifle yourself with thinking that this is not possible or it's not realistic.
If there is one thing I have learned from my the past, it’s the power of self-belief in oneself and perseverance through hard times because nothing worth having ever comes easy - so if you find yourself struggling now: look back at your past achievements! No matter how small they may seem on paper, these small steps will move you closer every day. Smart people understand that it's the tiny daily wins that eventually result in huge successes.
It is of utmost importance to state exactly what you want? Why? If you allow the conditions of your life now to determine what you are going to create in the future, then you will be continuously trapped by the limitations of the past. What is happening in your life at this moment is a continuation of the thoughts you allowed to live before now. To achieve what you really want for the future, you have to transcend the trap of prior decisions and old beliefs.
What is the main point? To break out of your comfort zone. It's not always easy, so why not start with baby steps and work our way up to that big leap?
Have you let other people's ideas stand in the way of what you want? This has to be your idea, in your heart of hearts, what do you want?
I know it's tough when you have to decide on your own, but the more time that passes without a decision are just moments lost. A no decision, is a decision. That feeling of being stuck in the middle is not only frustrating; there can be real consequences as well. Your intuition will never steer you wrong because it always knows what is best so spend some time and really think about what would make both yourself happy and fulfilled.
You probably have not taken your idea far enough. You stopped short. Do you have what you want written down, every detail? Picture it. What does it look like? Feel like when it's achieved? Write it all down and visualize every detail of it.
Maybe it is time to revisit your idea. You may have stopped short of going as far with the plan because you are not sure if this route will be a good fit for where you want to go now or in the future. Before letting an old project die, why don't you look back at what already has been done and see how much work was put into it? Maybe another pass on that last thing will help you finally finish!
It's true that sometimes people lose sight of their ideas before they even start working them out because there seems like no point anymore after taking too big of a break from developing things further. It's easy to give up on something that you started when it starts getting tough, but you should take the time to go back and finish what you once were proud of.
You might have limitations. However, most limitations are not real. They are simply limitations you have allowed your mind to accept. Is there something you want that someone else has achieved? This is proof that you can have it too. But you have to do the work.
Sometimes we feel like there are just some things that will never happen for us. But you know what? You have to do the work! If someone else has achieved something that's not even in your realm of possibility, then it must be possible for you too. Don't sit around waiting - take charge and make your dreams come true today.
Is there something you want that someone else has achieved? This is proof that if they did it then so can you. There are three steps to creating something new: having an idea, making it a priority and completing the work.
Your solutions to your problems comes out from the willingness to have the problem solved and know the end result you want. The funny thing is, we are always creating, either problems or solutions.
In conclusion, you are the ultimate creator of your life. There is a part of you that knows no limitations. But there is another part of you that buys into the limitations that you have accepted for yourself. Let go of the limits you’ve accepted and don't think life is happening to you, because it's not. You are in control - your thoughts are the key to unlocking the door.
